A Neighbor You Can Count On A lifelong resident of the Michiana area, Dr. Benifiel was born in South Bend and graduated from John Adams High School. During high school and college summers, he worked at the Morris Park Country Club golf shop, and it was there he developed both his love for golf and his service-oriented philosophy.

Dr. Bruce Benifiel - Granger

An Education You Can TrustAttending Indiana University, Bloomington on the prestigious Evans Scholarship, he received his B.A. degree in biology with minors in chemistry, psychology, and english.

While at I.U., he was a member of the Evans Scholars fraternity, Alpha Epsilon Delta Honor Society, and the I.U. Student Foundation.

Dr. Benifiel is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Dentistry, receiving his D.D.S. degree in 1987. He was also awarded the Block Drug Award for his work with chemotherapy and its effects on oral mucosa.

Dr. Benifiel has a continuing commitment to excellence and regularly attends advanced continuing education courses to provide you with the latest advances in dental care. On July 22, 2000, Dr. Benifiel was awarded Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. He is a Fellow of the International Dental Implant Association, a Sustaining Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, a member of the American Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association, North Central Dental Society, Mishawaka Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society.

Community InvolvementDr. Benifiel lives in Granger, Indiana with his wife Loraine and sons Blake, Chase, and Ethan. While actively practicing dentistry in the Elkhart and Mishawaka area, Dr. Benifiel has also served as vice-president and program chairman of the Elkhart Dental Association, dental consultant for Meridian Nursing Center and Elkhart General Hospital, and as administrator for Homebound Dental Care. Dr. Benifiel is also a past faculty member of Indiana University, South Bend, where he served as a clinical instructor in the School of Dental Hygiene, and has served as vice-president and president of the Mishawaka Dental Society.

In his early years, Dr. Benifiel was a die-hard cyclist and has served as both secretary and president of the Michiana Bicycle Association. These days, Dr. Benifiel has become active in boating and enjoys spending time exploring the lake. He is also an avid runner and regularly participates in 5K and 10K events.
